Terms of Use
The short version: you wager minutes, never money. The credits in this app cannot be bought, sold, or cashed out, and nothing you win has value outside the app.

01What this is
ScrollWager keeps the apps you choose locked. To get in, you stake screen-time credits on a short game of chance; win and you get more time than you staked, lose and the time is gone. Credits are earned by doing physical tasks, like walking or pushups.
By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
02Credits are not money
This is the part worth reading twice.
- Credits represent minutes of access to your own phone, nothing else.
- Credits cannot be purchased with money, and no subscription buys them.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, goods, or anything outside the app, and cannot be transferred to another person.
- Winning or losing a wager has no financial consequence. You cannot win money and you cannot lose money.
- Unused credits are not property. They expire under the rules shown in the app, and they are gone if you delete the app.
The games are a simulation used to decide access to your own device. They are not gambling, no stake of value is ever placed, and no payout of value is ever made.
03Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use ScrollWager with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
04What the lock does, and what it does not
ScrollWager uses Apple's Screen Time system to block the apps you select. It is a deliberate obstacle, not a security measure.
It can be undone. You can delete the app, turn off its Screen Time permission, or change your selection, and the block ends. Strict Mode raises the cost of doing that, but it is not a lock you cannot open. We do not promise that the block is unbreakable, that it will never fail, or that iOS will always behave as expected, and we are not responsible for anything that follows from an app being blocked or from a block ending.
Do not rely on ScrollWager to keep you away from anything that matters. Keep the apps you may urgently need unblocked.
05Physical tasks
Credits are earned by moving: walking, and pushups counted through the camera. You do these at your own risk.
ScrollWager is not a medical device, a fitness programme, or health advice, and it does not know anything about your health. It does not assess whether an exercise is safe for you. If you have any condition that makes physical activity risky, talk to a doctor before using the task system. Stop if something hurts. Counting is done by software and can be wrong in both directions; that is a reason not to chase a number, not a reason to push harder.
06Subscription
ScrollWager is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store. The current price, billing period, and any trial are shown in the app before you pay and are confirmed at purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You cancel in your Apple Account settings, not in this app. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Apple handles billing and refunds. We cannot issue refunds; refund requests go to Apple.
If your subscription ends, paid features stop. Your locks and your history are unaffected.
07Fair use
Do not try to fake task completion, tamper with the app's stored state, use the app to harass anyone, or resell access to it. We may end your access if you do.
08Your account
An account keeps your history if you lose your phone. You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, and doing so removes your data from our server as described in the Privacy Policy.
09Changes and availability
We may change the app, its rules, its economy, and these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will say so in the app before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
We do not promise the service will always be available or error-free.
10Liability
To the extent the law allows, ScrollWager is provided as it is, without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, missed notifications, missed opportunities, or anything arising from apps being blocked or becoming unblocked. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Where a place of jurisdiction can validly be agreed, it is our domicile in Switzerland.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
